a basket of toys in the corner of my bathtub

washing walls of neighborhood kids fingerprints each week

disney movies

buying cereal in bulk

kids shouting "hi Bailey's mom!" at school

playing 'eye spy'

calvin & hobbs

washing cookie sheets

quietly placing money from the tooth fairy

trying to convince my 5 year old the dog doesn't need a night light

getting 3 hours of sleep each Christmas Eve

'girls night' out is now me and my 8 year old daughter

no matter how hard I try, the master bedroom is the "hanging out room"

always having a child's "best friend" become an adopted member of our family

hearing in the distance, "where's mom?"

realizing no one can take my place
......even on days I wish they could.
