What an Angel....

I keep meaning to post this amazing boy as well as the amazing watercolor my friend did of him for his parents. He passed away in June and his Mom has a inspiring blog. I happened to run across it from The Olsen's Blog and was so deeply moved by her thoughts. See Below. (then it turns out Laurie was doing a painting for them)

I don't personally know her but reading her story of healing in the face of death was so touching. He sure looks like an angel. Laurie did an great job through her art as always.










"I just finished this painting of a beautiful boy named Daxton. He passed away this summer. I was commissioned to paint the picture by my daughter to give as a gift to his parents who are good friends of hers. I chose the photo that I did because it looks like he is looking into heaven. His face is pure joy! When his parents came to approve the painting his mother told me that she was standing right in front of him and that he was looking at her. It was then that I realized why he looks like he is looking at heaven, because he is looking at his mother and she was heaven to him. I felt great joy while painting this darling little angel. I hope it brings his family comfort for generations to come."
